Vehicles in Germany's Town Discovered Covered with Swastikas in Blood, Law Enforcement Report

Authorities reported they were alerted by a man who found a vehicle in Hanau marked with red-colored liquid

Roughly fifty vehicles have been covered with what seems to be human blood in the Germany's municipality of Hanau near Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.

Automobiles, exterior walls and postal boxes were marked, occasionally with prohibited symbols, they stated in a release.

Police state they were alerted late on Wednesday night, when a man noticed that a car in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been marked with a red-colored substance.

The fluid had been applied in the shape of a swastika, they reported.

Officers then discovered numerous other vandalized automobiles and house walls in the surrounding area.

Nazi symbols are banned in Germany under regulations banning the visible presentation of Nazi symbols.

Law enforcement report preliminary tests suggest the substance was most likely blood from a person.

"At present there remains no indication as to where it came from; officials are presently not informed of any injuries in association with the occurrence," they stated.

Municipal representatives announced they were attempting "to unravel the case" and have appealed to the community for information.

A high-ranking political figure said the attack made him speechless and needed to be addressed promptly.

"This act hits the very heart of Hanau and revives the pain of the far-right attack half a decade ago," he stated on a platform, recalling the killing of nine people by a shooter focusing on individuals of immigrant origin in 2020.
